Our Mission

“to foster and perpetuate among our membership, the spirit of good fellowship and loyalty between those people who (have) live(d) and/or are descendants or spouses of persons from the Yukon, Alaska and/or from north of latitude 56 in British Columbia.”
(taken from our Constitution)

Simply put, we are a social club made up of people who enjoy one another’s company in, or out of the north. Our principal function is to provide social venues where friends, who most likely once lived in the north, can get together. To this end the Vancouver Yukoners’ Association sponsors five luncheons and one Annual Reunion Weekend each year where members and friends can mingle for the purpose of renewing past acquaintances.

The Association also publishes and mails its members a small newsletter five times each year. It contains the minutes of the club’s business meetings, advises of the luncheon and Annual Reunion Weekend dates, provides news about members, and gives brief summaries of recent newsworthy events from the north. Many editions contain photos of members and friends at club related functions.
